Every year Youth Addaction and B3 take part in the Brent Junior Citizenship Scheme. Record breaking weekend
It was a very busy weekend for BSAFE! Eighty-six service users visited the drop-in service this Saturday and Sunday afternoons. BSAFE is an out of hours weekend service for individuals with substance misuse issues and/or in recovery from these problems. We provide:- A friendly, safe and relaxing environment Refreshments Newspapers, TV and computer access A special thanks to our brilliant volunteers for all their hard work - we couldn't do it without you!!

Mass lobby briefing
Hundreds of campaigners, many with experience of homelessness, met their MPs in Westminster today to ask them to support the Homelessness Reduction Bill during a crucial parliamentary debate on October 28. We met up with Cllr Dawn Butler to gain her support. Special thanks to #crisisbrent for arranging the travel and uniting local local support!

Friendship Matinee
On Tuesday 18 October, BSAFE volunteers will off to see the Royal Albert Hall's Annual Friendship Matinee. A specially programmed performance for charities and community groups. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform favourite show tunes and music from some of the finest shows on Broadway and in the West End. Recovery Champions Course (14 Nov)
Our next Recovery Champions Course (RCC) will begin on Monday 14 November. It runs every Monday and Thursday over 5 weeks and will finish on Thursday 15 December 2016. This self development course is free to Brent residents. If you are interested and available to commit to this course please ask your key worker for a referral. Volunteering?
Would you like to volunteer at BSAFE in Brent? BSAFE is an out of hours drop-in weekend service (Saturdays 11am-5pm and Sundays 1pm-4pm) for individuals affected by substance misuse. We offer people a place where they can access activities and support services, and be guided towards other local substance misuse services where they can receive help. Although the majority of the volunteers have dealt with substance misuse at one point or other, we welcome anyone with commitment

Engage Conference 2016
On Wednesday 26 October CNWL will host their annual Engage Conference. Led by service users for service users. Date: 26 October 2016 Venue: New Essex Church, 112 Place Gardens terrace, Notting Hill W8 4RT Time: 10:30am to 4:30pm This year the theme will be discovering your WOW factor - ‘Ways of Wellbeing’ - in your life. This will be presented in a fun and creative style. Music, quizzes, prizes, and surprises galore!
